Been out allday in my car, including some motorway driving, on my home the airbag light started flashing, what could this be?

I turned the ignition off the started it again the light came on and went off like normal then after about 2 minutes of driving the light started flashing again?

it's a y reg 1.1

thanks in advance

Still have this problem? Would the wire that goes on the seat belt behind the rear card (on a 3dr) make this happen if it was faulty or somthing?

Miine does this too, doesnt seem to have any obvious reason for it, some times it flashes, onther time it wont...

Only had the car a few weeks so not sure where to start, I have the MOT coming up in a month or so,

If it is flashing at time of MOT - Will it FAIL ?

YES.

It also wont deploy in the event of an accident if the light is flashing / on all the time.

A 206 of this age its most likely the rotary spool gone faulty BUT without testing the srs system your not going to get a 100% concrete answer.

Steering wheel needs to be removed.

New one from Peugeot OR get a good second hand one from Ebay / scrapyard etc.

BUT until the cars srs system is scanned we havent got a clue what the fault really is.
