Oh that sucks. Yes, delivery like that is possible. There does seem to be a sub-culture of cheap and cheerful delivery companies which neglect to do the basics, such as packaging. It might have been the scrappy's own recovery truck which does a round trip of dropping off various parts, on the way to/from collecting a dead vehicle, or something. I've had it a few times for really cheap parts.

The original advice still stands - relist them, try again. After all, what's better, a £1.98 refund, or a bit more money if you sell them at a better price? You'll probably even cover the delivery cost and be in profit.

What's the paint like on the rear bumper. Is there any marks

There is a few little marks on each corner, nothing major, looks like with a good wash they would be fine, a couple of broken clips, I can get some better images tomorrow hopefully if you want to see them.

If I was to sell them it would be pickup only, Hate posting big things, nothing but bad experiences with them, Yours for £23 so I break even thats for the pair, wouldn't really want to sell them separate.

They are still as they arrived earlier today, so still in the black plastic, so I can't see them properly.

Worst delivery company I've used before is probably XPD Express, horrible service.

If I sell them and break even, I'll be happy.

If a delivery company had delivered them, then there should have been a bar-coded address label on the packaging along with a track and trace number. Even the cheap and cheerful companies use tracking. The delivery company name would usually be printed on the label too. In past experience, most companies require a POD unless the customer has specified that they can leave in a safe location. The back garden would be classed as a safe location in most circumstances. I have seen all kinds of things shoved through a door to say where a parcel has been left when a driver has run out of calling cards. Never seen an oily ebay invoice though. Just re-advertise them if you don't want to get them sprayed. If you sell them for £1 each and charge £20 postage (which seems cheap for 2 bumpers) you'll have made a profit.

I don't know of one delivery company that will package the item for you unless you pay them for the service such as the partnership Sony and PC World have with DPD.
