What He Said

Strange how none of the other bolts come lose.
& I see the old bill stitched you up with their 'designated contractor' scam.
Hope it's sorted soon for you.

Odd indeed, I would have thought at least one or two sheered.

Having said that I was in the same situation, I must not have torqued them up and within a week they had worked loose. Got massive steering wheel vibration and when I managed to find a farm gate to ditch it into a farm gate you could just pull two of the bolts out, the other two only had a bit of thread left on them. Another 50m and it could have been the same as this with no bolts left.

or might be the hub damaged already?

thus the bolt become loosen under load?

sorry to heard that davies

It appears that Peugeot had supplied us with the wrong bolts for the wheels... This is still being looked into and I will update all you guys when I know more to do with this.

The correct Peugeot / Citroen part number for the bolts for these wheels is 5405 67

They will IF you have it as part of your breakdown cover, read your terms & conditions.

My RAC breakdown cover does & they have recovered my 206 before from the works car park after someone crashed in to it.

Well, it depends on how much you pay really on the pickup, more you pay, more you are covered, but most do do cover that kind of thing.

Also, How were the bolts wrong? Wrong thread? To short? Just wondering.

Had any luck finding that wheel yet or have you given up?

John - The hubs are fine. My old alloys never had a problem, when I fitted them back again after this, they went in no problem and tightened up perfectly.

Bolts - Are a theory. However the part number Lee has listed above doesn't seem to be similar from my memory.

Wheel - I found it yesterday... Eventually.

That part number is the same if its a 307 Challenger alloy or 206 Atlantis alloy.

Weird, hopefully Peugoet will hold there hands up and admit it, if it was there fault and cover the damages.

What state was the wheel in? Any damage to that, from the bolts or the solo drive it had?
