Even if the tailgate is damaged, which it doesn't look like, the rear window can be masked easily. Even the quarter glass is a 5 minute job to take out and probably wouldn't be necessary as it can be masked around.

Personally I would take it somewhere else and get a proper estimate done by someone who knows about body repairs and not a mate who is a mechanic.

He's not just "a mate who is a mechanic" he's a close family friend who's been servicing and fixing my dad's business cars for years. He's very trusted and has a great reputation round Sheffield. I'm confident he knows what he's doing, plus he gets a massive discount at the bodyshop round the corner. He isn't one of these "Kwik Fit" or "Halfords" mechanic

Like I said, this guy isn't some Kwik Fit mechanic, he's a very close family friend who's always worked on my families cars.

I'll let you guys know how much he cost when I get the bill, but whatever the price, it's well worth it

Looks weird around the bump strip? Like it doesn't line up correctly

Better than it being smashed though

Nah, the only bit that's slightly off is the part where the bumper goes into the wheel arch, sticks out a few milimeters than it used to, but still, a lot better condition than the before pics lol

I can still see where it was damaged, so it's not a great job. Still I guess it's better than before.

Boot lid looks bent on the corner nearest the light too.

It's not supposed to be a show car dude, the car has other dents. point is, it's a massive improvement on what it looked like 5 minutes after I did it
