How difficult is it to replace a strut bearing, front off side? Is there a how to?

I think you need spring compressors so not that easy, gonna get mine replaced when my new rear axle is fitted as they have been making noise for ages

if you've not done it before its a pain in the ar*e. If you are likely to be replacing more parts, thus repeating the job, I suggest you learn and save yourself a load of moola

You need to remove the strut from the car for a start.

Pain in the a**e! Not hard but quite a few bits to disturb / remove and always a bugger reconnecting that lower wishbone.

Also very dangerous if you aren't used to using spring compressors.

Buy yourself a Haynes manual. It isn't the answer to everything but it always gives a clear idea of just how easy or hard a job is. Use the manual but ask what special tips others know here.
