you need to put a thread through with nuts where the badge was to stop either side flexing and cracking the filler

usher just looking at your pictures and your grill does look awsome, thats why i want mine doing, i had a pug 306 and had that debadge but that was alot easy as this gril comes in two parts

the standard grill should split in 2parts, remove the badge and where the badge used to be you need the thread
black is the thread and white is the nuts behind the grill

usher so do i drill a little hole on each side of the grill and feed a thread through, what can of thread do i use and how do the nuts works, if i do it like that then can i fill the hole in with filler?

yeah holes either side of the badge gap threat or long bolt with a nut just tighten it by hand then nip with a spanner to stop if flexing, you will need to build it up with fibrewglass or expandy foam then cut it down, filler is for skimming as it will crack or sag eventually

Usher thanks again for that info again, can I use wynn's loctite plastic padding filler, is that expand foam any good, I was gonna try Davids p40 or p38 fibre glass filler. In your opinion what do you recommend I use. Thanks again

fibre glass filler would be easier i used fibre glass sheets and it was messy. foam was if you had some to save money

and ebay think i paid 30quid for mine bnib, it is a copy as the grill bit under the bonnet is atached and its one unit but my origional one got damaged so couldnt use it

I see people now fill in bonnet gap with the plastic grill/trim extending up rather than welding and filling the bonnet lip...wouldnt cutting polystyrene into shape and using sikaflex or similar auto filler that wont melt polysty...into place and cutting it to size give a closer harder surface to apply filler to ...and will offer more support staying in place so filler wouldnt get bent right in as poly will stop it from flexing so much...
