Hello
I have been helped greatly on this forum before so would appreciate some advice. I have a Peugeot 206 1.4 2003 and yesterday i noticed my brake pedal suddenly became spongy. The brakes worked but i knew things were not ok. Today after a couple of short journeys the stop light started to flash and the brake warning light has come on. I know a visit to the garage is in order but i am currently on holiday in devon and am wondering how big a job this problem may be as in 2 days time I need to get myself
and my car home. All advice greatly received thanks

Nicholad

That sounds like a fluid leak or significant air ingress. I would check the fluid and get it looked at by the nearest garage. If you are not mechanically minded it will be difficult for you to judge the size of the problem. I would be very reluctant to drive it home and therefore recommend a fix before you do so.

You could be OK but finding out it isn't won't be fun!

Do you have AA or RAC cover - if not join it could save you a lot of money!

You need the fluid replaced and a pressure check
