Thank yooo Shell...
Mr Seabook - yes - it did absolutely wee it down all day, but I didn't care. Had a job to do, and dammit, it was going to get done!!
Will prolly catch a cold now - but these are the labours of love we suffer at the hands of working on our beloved vehicles...

The red is some stuff I got from a firm specialising in uber stone resistant stuff - the rest is indeed hammerrite. Word of advice... be prepared to do a lot of touching up if you paint before fitting!! LOL

ill be careful lol i kinda need to use car paint and laquer on mine as i want it colour coded as with the torsion bars so will be fun fitting them after painting, still looking at finding a 180 axel for mine, think it will save time if i recon that then swop it over

you will be fine fitting the axle after painting - it was the front stuff that you have to watch for - although putting the arms back on the axle might need a welt with something.
I have decided to get a second axle and build this up in the garage so I can still use the 180. Then swap over when done. It will be far easier that seeing the car up on axles stands and feeling the pressure to get it done. Might loose a few quid then selling the old axle, but so be it...

Yes rich - don't want anything for them - just pm address and I will pop in the post for you. I put a light seal of araldite on the inner edge of mine to secure it. I think you will be hard pushed to find something to match, but the grommets I have are tpo quality and will not perish or discolour...
