i have 2 180's and one of then kicks very hard when the vvt kicks in,the other one yes you can feel it working but just does not kick so strong.
i have swapped the vvt valve between the 2 cars and still the same,so i am trying to work out if the first car has be remapped in the past or if the second car has other faults.
so could you tell me how hard yours kick in, hard to do i know but first one is like a mini turbo but second is much softer.

VVT does not kick in. It's constantly moving, it doesnt suddenly change. You'll just be hitting the torque peak which is where it will start to pull stronger.

ah ok as said on 1 car its real strong on other just feels weaker in fact on the first car it feels like a honda vtec system when it come on song. also just to add that when the 1st one was RR'd it came out at 177 bhp which is another reason as to why i think it may have been mapped in the past.

I remember someone saying that their 03-plate and my 54-plate engines were different because one had a floating crank.
If that's true, would it make a difference?

I got a dig bick.
You that read wrong.
You read that wrong too.

think i'm just gonna have to put the second one on a rr and see just how much diffrence there is. or try to find out a way to see if the ecu's can be read to see if one's been mapped.
