Hi, need a bit of advice from you experts Confused

The guy I bought my 206 off 3 months ago said the previous owner had replaced the suspension, calipers etc and a lot of the front end parts to 180 spec including the wheels.

I have driven lots of 138 206 GTi's before with standard alloys but this one I drive now handles loads better than anything I have experienced, its a stiffer, harder and handles really well.

How can I check that its not just the vortex wheels that have made it feel different to me than all the others I have driven. I'm thinking, when I need new new parts relating to the front end, whether I need 180 spec or 138 spec.

The calipers and discs for example look bigger than what I can remember but maybe I'm just imagining it, as there are no invoices for any front end parts. Its all just service history from the dealer. Sorry for the long post Exclamation

Specifically what parts are you referring to? Get pictures of stuff if you aren't sure

As far as I know 180s have uprated stuff compared to the standard gtis-

Brakes
Springs (dampers too?)
1mm thicker anti roll bar
Wheels (not that it would really make a difference)

So there isn't a huge amount really

could be the springs as they are stiffer and are cheap on ebay etc, brakes will be the easiest to spot, the front ARB would have to be measured to tell
