Nicest Saxo i've seen in my entire life and glad all the mods done on a VTR model and not some low end engine i've seen everyday.
The sirocco alloys definitely looks nice on your car.

Really nice looking motor. Only thing that ruins it for me is the sticker bombed wing. Other than that very nice.

the arch has gone now, as said it wasn't my first choice but didn't really have a lot of say in the matter lol

next set of updates copied over

picked my new arch up today from FCS, getting the bumper strip sprayed tomorrow and fitting it properly tomorrow, its only loosely on atm, photo curtsey of alex gordon

heres some pics Smile
this was the saturday evening when me, tom5190 and the rest of the pug1off lot turned up to set the stall up for the show

and hers some pics taken by m11ler of mine, wassy's, lso's, rudpud's and Llady's cars when the show was winding down. m11ler and rudpud both took ones of mine on the stand so when they upload them ill post them Smile All the photos from this little photoshoot can be found in m11ler's link above

didn't have time to go to peugeot today to buy some clips but i made a start on the arch anyway
quickly washed and polished

taped up and sanded back

primered

painted

laquered

final product now matches rest of car!

also pulled out this old relic the original boot lid, took the spoiler jet wash and badges off it. The spoiler holes, jet wash hole and badge holes are definitely being welded up and smoothed just not sure what to do with the recess

im either going to have a smoothed boot handle (lock smoothed off) or just have the holes welded up, so i have a smooth full size recess if you get me. And use LED number plate bolts to light the plate up.

few more photos from m11ler

And some from rudpud

as part of 'project clean up' i also am going to reattach my rear drivers side arch as its always been loose and the sideskirt is also got a few snapped clips, so im just about to go to citroen and buy some new clips

plans:
-cheap little s**t bits (which is what im doing now; re-attching the vt kit properly, spraying mirrors etc)
-once i get back home and start working so in about a month the new bottom end will be built up and the bay will be sprayed when the engine is removed
-and in 2 months time its body work time thats when im going to get the new boot done, and probably get both rear quarters resprayed and the drivers door
-3months time it'll be new wheels time!
-then 4 months time ill be doing something with the interior, probably something along to lines of a red rallye carpet, tidy up my a,b,c pillars and maybe some buckets and harnesses (maybe a cage)

Little bit more progress

tigersealed on the new clips

cleaned up the arches

removed my mirrors as they need spraying (were no where near as good as they were described when i bought them!)

the 'gloss' black part wasnt very glossy and very patchy

and the mirror caps had lacquer peel

these were sanded down and primered (will stay like this for a little while until i buy some venetian red paint)

and got a few coats of black on the mirrors, i want the mirrors lacquered tonight and i will re fit them along with the arches tomorrow

i managed to get my arches on, the tiger seal and dried fully Smile
no more wafty arch :y:

little cheeky shot of redexstyle's new alloys being test fitted

got three layers of lacquer on my mirrors and ripped the tape off, they are almost dry to the touch so ill leave them a bit and ill carefully put them on tonight, they're are not as glossy as i wanted but a much better job of what had been done before hand! they will probably be done professionally when the car goes through its 'body shop' phase

got the mirrors on

now i need some venetian red paint and some more lacquer to do the caps

i removed my smoothed boot as its now sold to Furio-Gaz-Saxo, new/old boot isnt lined up properly yet will adjust it tomorrow, looks a state atm but not bad considering its been sat for 3 years in 3 different back gardens lol and im going scrappy on monday so will pick up a boot handle not sure what happened to my old one, badges, lock, spoiler and jet wash are being smoothed off this boot lid and going to need a new pug1off sticker lol

just got back from scrappy got a plain boot handle just fitted it and also cleaned the badge residue up a little bit mroe to make it look more presentable until its sprayed

The thread is now up to date again Smile

Being paid on Tuesday and i am picking some new wheels up hopefully Tuesday morning, and will go straight to the bodyshop and get a quote on doing the boot and will be on the look out for a new bottom end not sure if there will be any funds to rebuild the bottom end this month but should be able to buy one at least and get it stripped down and cleaned up, really shouldnt be buying wheels and smoothing/spraying my boot when the more important things need doing but i cant miss out on these wheels and the boot makes the car look really tatty lately

Lush looking car, some great work done!

Was wondering (and I know it probably the lamest question after all the work carried out) but how did you do the false floor?

Tis something I could really use in mine for more practical reasons Laughing

I think it would look a lot nicer if you sprayed the black parts red

by black parts do you mean the grille or the bump strips? if you mean the bump strips they are staying gloss black not a fan of colour coded bumps strips at all, i love how glossy and wet looking the bump strips look, and the black boot handle will obviously be painted when the lock is smoothed off, but at the end of the day im not so bothered about how the car looks with the engine mods it seems a bit pointless to get too caught up in such minor things like its appearance when ive got much bigger things to think about

to do the boot floor i drew around the boot carpet and extended it further in to the car and took measurements to cut to it fit around the rear door cards and the rear seat mounting studs

i can see why people may not like the black on the lower half of the rear bumper but i personally like it, if the bumper was being resprayed then i might get that bit colour coded next for a change but no i love the gloss black door/bumper bump strips Smile i think the only colour saxo that looks good colour coded all over is a black one funnily enough lol

Ooo I thought you was doing the work your self thata all, erm I don't know I'm not a fan of glossing plastics but that's just me lol, I just prefer standard cars with tune ups (sleepers) nice project tho lots of hard work has gone into it.

Me and tom have done the majority of the work but was taken to pug1off for fine tuning matt wouldn't have given me a sticker set if I hadn't of spent money with him, he is a bit picky over who he gives the stickers to which is fair enough he dosent want his company name on sheds lol so how do you know tom??
