Just earlier today I've been experiencing some trouble with my 1.9d Peugeot 206. I'd be driving along and suddenly the car would start behaving weird and randomly surging with power (Strange for a straight diesel lol) one second and having literally none the next.

One second it would be trying to race like herbie, with my foot off the accelerator, then the next I'd be pushing down as hard as I can and I may as well be pushing down the foot brake for all the good it does me..

I got it to a mates house then, as it started being normal for a while, but when I went out to start it, it started idling really strange, changing from hi revs to low revs repeatedly (there's no rev counter in my car btw) and as I drove home it kept doing the same as earlier. In the space of 1 mile, the engine cut out 3 or 4 times, and took a couple of tries to get it started without it either cutting out after starting, or not starting at all.

I just bought this car with full MOT, so car trouble is really f*****g me off, especially after driving that death-trap piece of crap Peugeot Parter I had..

Any ideas?

May have found the issue. Seemed to be airlocking, so I think my fuel gauge is f****d. Thanks anyway.

And just so you know an m.o.t means nothing these days, I bought mine with wishbones as an advisory had a look and they were f**ked!
