Hello fellow 206ers,
First posting!! I was wondering if anyone can help me out here. My Peugeot has a display like the one in the picture:

The problem is it's not lighting up. So I went on the forums and learned how to change the bulbs and I changed ALL of them. Still for some reason the display is not lighting up. It can be seen when light falls on it, but as soon as its in shade you can't see anything. Can anyone tell me what the reason could be?
I would really appreciate your help.

check in your manual for which fuse it is and try changing that, or it could be a connection shortage in the wiring.

It sounds the same problem as I am having. I tried changing the fuse but it seems to me to be a loose wire somewhere where it clips into the display. When I wobble the wire you can see the bulbs illuminate. Try it.

I too have the same problem, very frustating, it works when i push it in. Have changed all the bulbs but will check for loose connection!

If the loose connection is in the connector on the loom - get another one from a scrappy with a bit of wire included, cut the wires as close to the connector as possible on your car and solder+shrink tube your loom wires to the wires on the 'new' connector.
But AFAICT the most common issue is the one or more pins more or less work loose from the soldering on the circuit board. The diff between connection and not is small enough that a wiggled wire, 'transported' through the connection elements in the plug could do it... If this is your fault then you need to open up the clock and resolder the pins to the board.
