Ok so i thought i'd post a bit of a comparison for you guys regarding the "get what you pay for" debate. The car was a SHED when i bought it,much work has been done, still a lot more to go.
Recently had fitted (thanks to krisB)
Jom coilovers
Meyle HD lower arms
SKF top mount & bearings
Also the torsion bar lowered another 20mm.
So far the main dissapointment has been the drop on the fornt when the helper springs are in,i'd say at best 20-30mm. The ride is surprisingly good considering the £150 price tag,a little bit over-sensitive at low speeds but anyone who's driven round Southend can appreciate what they have to deal with. Higher speed is pretty smooth and handles very well, responsive even with knackered, unevenly worn tires due to previous bad lower arms and tracking hasnt been done yet either. Had to raise passenger side by few mill as there was a bit of squeaking,it was sitting off but thats probably just my wonky car lol.
Next its into the sprayshop for body repairs and paint restoration on Thursday

Overall veridct after a few days and 250 miles, for a budget set up acommpanied with quality parts, definately cant knock them in comparison to other rides i've been in with £400-£600 systems
** sorry about the pics, its being awkward,or i've got the sunday dumb-dumbs lol

A 206 is a budget car that appeals to the younger generation. I cant state much but my 206 took this category, but then again its just for show
Since ive had my impreza only the best will do.

Why? Because your Impreza is a poor mans version?

now now ladies put the handbags away lol. i've seen a mates fiesta rattled to pieces by the ride on a set of Gaz Golds so stating that JOM's will wreck my car is purely speculative. it can happen with any part,it depends on the car and the way its treat, and in my case it doesnt get flung around like a rag doll.
They provide a decent ride, nice aesthetics (nicer when the helpers are taken out and arches widened) so for less than what it would of cost me to buy OEM shocks and springs im not going to complain. I posted this as a helper to those who are ummm'ing and arrrr'ing about budget coilovers. We know price and build quality is a big thing, but bad luck can strike whether your pride and joy cost you £500 or £50,000
