Would there be any problems replacing a gti 180 engine for another gti 180 engine if using all the same elctrics ?? I wa just thinking about it earlier whilst exploring the options in terms of modifications, what I mean by this is I'd be getting a spare gti 180 engine and rebuild it with performance parts such as forged internals new cams and maybe turbo or ITB's or even supercharged before fitting it, as I said I'm just exploring the options

How much will you pay for a GTi 180 engine? Would you not be cheaper buying a hack and running that while the 180 is off the road?

If you can't buy a snotter with tax & ticket for under £500, you're not looking hard enough

Cheers Sam , I live in a village called Luddington near Crowle which I suppose is close to Scunthorpe
Iv looked on flea bay and the 180 engines only fetch around 300-500 quid which for that I couldn't even insure a banger at 19 haha let alone buy a banger and tax a banger

Many a fun evening can be had buying something cheap at the auction, shame scrap value is so high as its knocked out all the under £100 bargain cars you used to be able to pick up.
