Got rid of the 1.1 now n a now have a gti 138 but looking for suggestion on make her stand out fro
The crowd,
Got told a could put a 180 filter on it but as its the 138 a wasn't sure,anyone shine any light on that for me please?

Depends what filter it is. Not that it will make much of a difference.

A took what he was meaning was an aftermarket 1,not the standard filter box 1,was looking at piper cross 1 but it seems to all b mainly the one for the 180's

If you want a pipercross one I have a 138 pipercross filter sat in the garage.

It really wont, as you'll still be going through a 138 manifold which wont make much differwnce either

Just fitting an air filter/induction kit isnt really going to make much difference by its self anyway, they only come into their own when in addition to other mods, exhaust, cams etc .
Fit an induction kit if you want the noise, most uprated panel filters are just as free flowing when you get rid of the standard air feeds and use a more direct one.

Mate take Lee's word for it as the guy know's what he is talking about . I fitted and induction kit to my 138 and it sounded awesome and the car responded better too . Once you do the exhaust the car will respond even better and you will find that down changing will be able to be done earlier with better results . My next step is to get an SS manifold witch should change the entire acceleration of the car .
Here is my induction kit but I am gonna be changing the blue rubber hose soon .

So get the filter and exhaust system n a will notice the difference?what type of manifold u goin for? A 4 2 1 or just a 4 1?

Not sure about what manifold I am gonna get but am doing some research on it . I will let you know when I am sure on what I want .
