So I have a 05 GTI HDI.........

Here are the issues I am facing with her;
* Dash is flashing "anti-pollution fault" and she is sometimes a tad smokey when idiling or given full gas (apparently this can only be resolved by a peugeot dealer = £££ = Sad
The previous owner mentioned he had changed the filter for a better one and this was the reason for the error message....is he talking about the DPF?? This is all new to me too!!

* When I seem to go over like 30mph, the ABS & ESP light come on together and stay on until the next engine switch on (dislodged sensors maybe???)

As much as I love the car, I don't to be forking out a wallet load for repairs unless I really need too.
Some help and suggestions would be much much appreciated!

Cheers all Smile

If in doubt flat out !

My 1.4hdi was very smokey when just poodling along... i ended up taking the MAF off and dousing it in carb cleaner, letting it dry and then refitting....smoke has gone now drives on a little bit more responsive. I do see the anti pollution fault once in a blue moon. Think I read its just one of those things by peugeot?
