Is this what my MAP sensor should look like? (see pic below) or is it missing anything?
I saw a yellow ball in another post but I have separate IAT on TB. Is it ok?
Is it some kind of vacuum sensor or how does it work?
My 1999 1.1litre has been stalling, worse when cold but sometimes when warm, and not all the time.
If I'm careful to only press the clutch in when the revs have slowed to 900ish then it will idle ok.
If I just press the clutch in at 2-3000rpm then it dies.
I've cleaned the throttle body and screw valve. Changed the temp sensor on the head (apparently this was faulty from a diag at local garage) but still doing it.
Any ideas?
Thanks

That looks ok to me, have you checked your Idle control valve? My old saxo used to cut out coming back down the revs, after i cleaned the icv it solved it. Not saying this is your problem but worth a try!

Mine likes like the this one above, Its should have the probe.
Do you have a sticker on you sensor if not it may be a dodgy ebay one.

Anton: Thanks. What year is that from? Do you have the air temp sensor under the throttle body?
DanT: Is the ICV the motorised valve in the TB? I cleaned that, but how do you test it?
Coolspot: Yes it does have a sticker - Bosch.... (it's back on the car now)

If you have sepperate IAT on the throttle body your MAP sensor will not have the yellow bead and 'cage'.
It will also have 3 pins instead of 4 pins which the dual temp&MAP sensor has. So no problem there.
I would check the ICV as said above, with a known good one and see how it goes from there.
