This may be a very silly question but when I drive and haven't put heater on or aircon on should there be slightly warm air coming through the vents?
I drive a 1.4 sport 2005 model 206.
Sorry in advance if I'm being stupid.

yes if your heater control is on hot and vents are open, you can shut them just turn the thing on each vent, middle vent has a single for both

So it's just warm air coming from the engine, my heater isn't actually on all the time?

when the heater is set to hot. behind the dash a flap diverts the blown air over a warm radiator. ( making it warm air ) when switched off it channels the air away keeping it cold. you can use a/c and the blower set to hot to demist faster etc.
