Hey, I read somewhere that you should change your glow plugs every 60,000 miles. Is this true? If not, then what should I do to make sure my car is ready for winter in the glow plug department?

They only need replacing when they don't work.

depends what engine have you got.
the 1.4 and 2.0 HDi you can wait till difficult start during winter.
if you got the 1.6 HDi you better replace it every 60000 miles as they are required for the dpf regen; they aren't expensive to replace anyway

Well, its a 1.4 HDi, so I guess that means I wait until a problem in winter
