Car is a GTI 180

About a week ago my clock somehow reset itself to 01.01.00 and the time at 0.00. Everything works fine, but obviously have for some reason been reset.

My primary question is how do I set/change the date and time on the actual centre console?

Secondly, does anyone know what might have caused them to 'just reset'. I think I turned the ignition off or something and then turned it back on and it just re-set - I was only sat in the car and didn't do anything dodgy.

Had a new Kenwood radio put in the car if it helps advise how to reset due to it being non standard, but that was this morning.

Will reset if the battery is disconnected and you have to use the two buttons either side of the display to change it. Hold one in cant remember which side but hold until it flashes then use the other button to change the date/time should tell you in the manual
Everyone should drive hybrids, that way there's more petrol for me!

Owners handbook

As Matt says it resets when you disconnect the battery. May be a dodgy connection behind the MFD, or something was disturbed when the new HU was fitted.
