For the money i will have come november, the gti 180 is the car worth getting for value, performance and looks, seen a few 50k 03/04 car's for between £1500 and £2k.
Apart from the clutch, cambelt and water pump, is there any other parts which is worth renewing to ensure nothing fails on the car?
Those who own the 206 gti 180 would you say they are very reliable providing they are serviced regularly?

fan wiring harness and relays which has recently failed on my 180, we got a lot of rain so it's worth getting that checked out. I haven't changed my waterpump yet and I'm at 93k miles, should be alright at second cambelt change. Apart from that and what you mentioned, no other mechanical faults

The fan harness is common on every 206.

To answer your question, look at your own car. How long have you had it, mileage, and service history. You may have looked after your car, but your having trouble now. You could by a 180 with a fully stamped book, but it could still have unkown problems.
With any car its a gamble!
