I have a 206 1.4, recently the clutch pedal has started to make a slight squeak when depressed, it's coming from inside the car not outside. I haven't noticed any problems with the clutch all seems fine, no other noises or problems changing gear etc. Been told by the garage that I need a new clutch as the thrust bearing is failing this is based on the mechanic hearing the squeak when test driving the car for another issue. Do I need a new clutch or is it likely to be just the pedal? Cars done 64000 and is a 55 plate. Any advice appreciated Very Happy

Just a bit concerned that if it is the clutch and I carry on using the car it will cause more damage?

Probably just the point that the pedal pivots on. Shouldn't cause any damage to the clutch at all. Mention it at the next service and it should be a very cheap fix.
