Hi,
Does anyone know why my rear nearside wheel will turn freely forwards but try and turn it backwards and it binds?

Bit of back ground, ive just fitted new discs, pads, and cables.

The offside one is working fine and ive done nothing different to either of them.

Many thanks.

I had very little handbrake when my drums were done. It was loose enough that I could push the car by hand, but if I tried to reverse it locked. By the time I'd got home (about 20 miles) the handbrake worked fine. It's that good now that if I let out the clutch with the handbrake on and the car in gear, it stalls.

Just try a short run, using the foot brake gently, but often to wind the adjusters on slightly.

There is a method for adjustment after fitting new cables did you try it? If not, see the last section of my post at

www.206info.co.uk/Foru...28151.html

However, if you've taken it for a spin this might have done it already.
