im in need of a new turbo for my pug been told there is 2 types is this right ? also how much should i be looking at paying for a change over of turbos ?

not quite right.
there are 4 different manufacturer for the turbo and they are all interchangeable.
you are looking at around 150 for just labor.

KKK and garrett are the most common 2.
however there is also IHI and honeywell.

they might even made in the same factory just with different stamp

its lodeys old car brought it off here well i still dont know 100% if its turbo it is kicking out loads of black smoke when revs go over about 2500 ive checked egr valve and thats fine no loose pipes so jus going to change turbo now its doing my head in lol luckily i can get my hands an a work van
