I have got a 2000 1.4 petrol 3 door Peugeot 206, got a misfire and irrational idle, cured the idle after changing the coil pack, spark plugs, air control valve, stepper motor, temp sensor unit, and the injectors, by resetting the stepper motor as I was not resetting correctly.
The misfire is still a problem, so it was suggested that I pull the plug off each of the injectors starting at the cam belt end as I was told this was No1 injector, anyway, pulled off the plug, turned off engine reconnected plug and repeated with No2 and so on, results as follows :
No1 change of engine noise but kept on running,
No2 engine cut out
No3 engine cut out
No4 no change at all,
So is it a faulty injector or wiring or something totally different.

Two things
One get a code scanner
Two, who ever told you that is a complete idiot, PSA go from gearbox to cambelt. So cambelt end is number 4 NOT 1

Thank you for your reply and the correction about which one is No1 injector, but it did not answer the question of injector or wiring without spending mega bucks on a OBDI scanner as mine is a 2000 and OBDII did not come in till 2001 onwards.

PP2000 will be your best bet. Clones cost about £70 on ebay. Search PP2000 or lexia and you will get quite a few results.
