Now then everyone, I haven't been on in a while,
I apologise if this has popped up on a thread some time ago but if it has I sure couldn't find it.
Anyway I was wondering is a belly pan / lower engine guard available for the 206 ?? Were they fitted to a 206 from factory??

Not a good idea to install one as you'll interfere with the air flow and cooling.

If youve got a ramp and the inclination it would be a great diy project...if i get the money and time i might do my own out of ally sheet with a nice three rows of vents angled towards the rear...damned council should provide them with the size and number of speed bumps round here.

This did cross my mind but then surely the rad keeps the water / engine pretty cool and air is taken from the front grill and over the rad via the upper front grill so still a fair bit of cooling there but the air intake is a little more tricky as you know, I think I'll take a good look tomorrow and see if I can draw something up that won't have too much effect on the cooling or air intake.

I'd have thought it was more to do with where the air comes out than goes in. As you say the air goes through the front, but can't be much good keeping that air in the engine compartment as it will just keep heating up and have no where to escape.
Might be worth having a word with Mac and asking him how having one on affects the rally car temperature.

Air intake will be fine as long as there's some perferations in the plate where the intake is located...i thought he meant the downforce factor when he said air flow...wether he meant it or not the downforce would improve with a skid plate fitted infact thete mighy even be a slightly noticable improvement with the drag reduced like this...
