Hi,
I need to buy a fault code reader for my 206. So I need one that will do the engine light, air bag, abs etc.
Can anyone advise which one to get?
Cheers.
Kevin.

PP2000 on ebay will be Chi na clone copy. Brilliant for most things on the 206 but beware of changing
configs in the BSI and esp. ECU.

Some actions like updating ECU firmware will not work as it requires access to PSA server.
You will also need a laptop running XP.

I've got an abs fault which then developes a traction control fault.
Not bought a scanner yet.
I was hoping someone would recommend one!

How much would you use it? If rarely why not take it to a local garage and get them to scan it for you, shouldn't be much we charge 29.95 + vat.

Diagbox is the most up to date software which doesn't require XP to run, although I've not heard of anyone being able to get a cracked copy to run yet.

The basic Lexia/PP2000 setup from ebay does most people. I was running it on a dual boot system (Vista/XP) without any problems. Hardest part was setting up the drive partition, but I have no IT experience so struggled through using internet guides.

Well as a 206 owner Im going to be using it a fair bit.
I bought a cheap one to delete my engine codes which worked a treat.
Think im going to go with a Autel MD704 seems to do all things I want.

Make a note of how many times you clear codes. The limit is 50 on the 206, after which you won't be able to clear faults anymore.
