Loads of people use the Bosch Aero flat blades. The biggest issue is if you have 22" blades fitted as standard, buy 21" aeros otherwise you have a big overhang.

Since RPO 08470, the blade spoiler was fitted as standard and was on the drivers side (RHD model). Over time as people have changed wipers, they haven't bothered to remove the spoiler from the old one, either through laziness or ignorance.

Why would there be an over hang if its 22" blades on it as standard?

It's something everyone has found. Due to the curve of the screen and the difference in wiper design, the aero blade doesn't sit properly. Even with 21" on, there is still part of the screen that doesn't get wiped near the lower part of the O/S 'A' post.

If you search "aero wiper" there are lots of threads about the problem and the advice is always the same which is to buy 1" shorter if fitting aero flats.

They work really well mate, as Macca said but an inch shorter than the cars original wipers. Mine scrape the bodywork on the drivers side slightly which gets a bit annoying, but once it's properly raining you hardly notice and it doesn't seem to be doing any damage.

My solution was to buy ones that were being advertised as for a Ford Escort. One was 21" the other was 22". I put the standard size 22" on passenger side and the shorter 21" on the drivers side! works a treat!!

I've always bought replacement wipers that had the 'spoiler' already on.

Why would you even want too? They've been designed to work as they are.
