Is your car post October 2001? Possibly the comm2000 unit is on it's way out. Lights and indicators having a life of their own are a good indication that it's ready for replacement. Last time I looked, they were about £150 new for a Valeo one from EuroCar Parts.
Disabling the autolights will just be a waste of time and money and won't solve the problem.

Its a 2003 got it on 28 December there's no history about the car not sure if its been changed or not as the steering column cover is loose and wasn't clipped back together right I'm gonna do the bsi reset thing now . Any idea if the snap on reader will pick up a fault or not ? Its a multi car snap on reader that you put cards in depending on vehicle which I've had read other cars before but don't fancy paying for it plugged in if it won't work ?

I've no idea what the Snap On hardware will read.
I'd be 99.9% sure it's a faulty comm2000 though. They have a habit of going. When mine started playing up the indicators would turn off and the lights turned on. Ended up driving everywhere with my headlights on (no auto lights option on mine). Then I started getting the horn activating as soon as the BSI woke up when I unlocked the car.
There is a guy over Yorkshire way advertised repairs to the comm unit on ebay. I considered it but in the end decided the best option was to buy new.
I should also add that if the car has ESP, then you need to connect to PP2000 to set the new comm up, otherwise it's just plug and play.

How will I know if I have esp? I have noticed that there is a symbol on the clocks with the car skidding kinda is this the esp ? I can't find any button that can turn it on or off like my sisters audi. Just wondering tho is there other comm units that will work as I have looked on eBay and there's these units for different pugs and shitroens which look identical with the CD controls under the wash wipe stalk but all have different prices plus there's a brand new pug in scrap yard with the same set up obviously its not a 206 but if the units same I could get it for a next to nothing as long as I remove it from the car. Its a back end smashed car no air bags deployed in the front as well

for the esp setting up again does this mean I have to go to a pug dealer to do on Peugeot planet or will somebody who has this software be able to do it ? I can see this been a dear repair but needs doing as horn don't work either and I'm not sure if its been replaced already as the steering column has been taken off and not put back on right. Maybe I should take it off again and check that every thing is plugged back in? Also the bsi reboot thing didn't work I don't think or did it ? I read that it should reset the miles on the clocks if I did it right and it still kept the trip miles on the clocks so don't think that worked either
