so ive got a set of jbl components to go in the front and im using the original wiring but adding onto it so it will be long enough to reach the crossover, however connecting the two wires is more trouble than its worth as spade connectors (crimps) arent great and seem loose and soldering is a no go as there isnt enough of the old loom coming out of the speaker hole, so i was wondering if using strip connectors would be alright? the screw type.

Just snip them off and crimp on spade connectors bit of tape around the connections, much easier!

Tried crimp connectors pal, there shocking, don't seem to hold very well
