Instead of BODGING, why don't you diagnose & fix the fault with the help of the forum.

having bought new motor, checked all fuses plus relay,i think my problem is short somewhere behind dash, not got time to investigate at the moment mr bsi,so if i can quickly wire straight off the battery for a few weeks it would do me for now.thanks for your input any way.

I assume your fan is either doing nothing or only certain ones work? Probably the Heater Resistor, had to change the one on my 307 this week and it was a pig of a job for me (pulled it down and 2 of the wires were brittle and snapped). But like the others said it can be done but it will only be on/off, the 307 guide i used even tells you to test the fan with a battery charger (http://www.peugeotforums.com/forums/307-38/how-fix-broken-heater-blower-307-a-13429/).
