Car was running a bit lumpy. Not sure how to explain it. Felt juddery when accelerating?

Thought I would change the spark plugs. I bought a set if Bosch super plus from carparts4less.

When I took the old ones out I saw they were NGK. They looked in ok condition but thought I would change them anyway.

The difference is huge! The car feels smooth again and accelerates as I would expect for a 1.4 16v. A pleasure to drive again!!

Incidentally I just had my car serviced and he used NGK spark plugs. I had the same dramatic effect of it driving much smoother.

I think it's the new sparks in general making it better for you, rather than the case that NGK is a downgrade to any other brand

Yea could be. It's just that I have seen some of the comments on here by long term 206 owners saying that Bosch over NGK for spark plugs is a must??

Who knows......

Been using NGK plugs for many years and never had a problem, in the motorcycle world they were always the plug to use.

I think on this forum it's the old story of "My best mate's cousin's pet monkey's ex girlfriend fitted NGK spark plugs and they duffed the coilpack which might have been on the way out anyway"

I am a long term 206 owner - no problem with NGK Wink

My best mate's cousin's pet monkey's ex girlfriend told me that SOMETIMES they CAN cause problems with the ECU misfire detection system.

But what would she know..

I am not saying they are wrong, it's just that there seems to be a beleif on here that if you fit NGK you WILL get problems, every time.
