Does the standard head units have names?
I want a standard unit to put in my 206, but im not sure what was in it.
Ive got some cruddy JVC thing that it came with when i acquired it.
Not keen.
Does anyone know if they did a standard CD version where it used the joystick on the column?

ALL standard 206 headunits use the factory fitted stalk.
Radio / tape OR radio / CD or either of those with a cd changer attached.
NOTE: multiplexed radios are VIN security coded & this needs special equipment to change!
Non plexed headunits just use a normal 4 digit key code.

Ah right ok, thanks for the heads up.
So any Non plexed unit will do the job? (providing there is a code? or can they be decoded?)

206 Rallye?
You must fit multiplexed (mux) stereo to a mux model car (after-Oct 2001), and non-mux accordingly (pre-Oct 2001) for the 206.
P.S. Factory headunits are shιte.

I want DAB, Peugeot really are lagging behind the times on the current range of cars.

DAB is not used over here yet.
But you're right, I was thinking the other day it's time Peugeot come up with a real nice model soon that doesn't look all plastic with weird headlights etc as seems to be the fashion at the moment.
I think the 206 was the last OK-looking car from Peugeot but I might be wrong.
