Hi all.

New to the forum.

I am looking at acquiring a 206 Quicksilver 2003.

With regards to stereo wiring for an aftermarket unit, do I need the correct ISO adapter that comes with the wiring to connect to a 12v power output, such as ciggie lighter?

if you look in the I.C.E section it will tell you what harness you will need mate.

autoleads pc99-x44 for multiplex main loom then
pc99-alp
pc99-son
pc99-ken
and so on depending on make of new H/U for the "control stalk" work.

Reading through a few pages... if I get a stalk adapter, will that then just cause the stereo to have no issues as it will work with the bsi correctly?

All the stalk adapter does is to make the factory-fitted stalk cotrol the HU as it should. (I've fitted an autoleads one and it works perfectly 2 years now).
It does not make a difference to the BSI which still see's an error communicating with the stereo but it makes no difference anyway.
Also, it will no-longer display program information on the MFD which doesn't matter because you can see it on the HU display.
