I jacked up my car on the jacking points only for it to collapse. Has anyone else had this problem? Would it be easy to sort out?
Thanks
Garry

Where you using the factory provided jack in the correct jacking point?
The jacking points are clearly marked on the lower sill edge.

Take it you have folded the seam over. The Peugeot supplied jack has a recess in it to prevent this. Trolley jacks hold all the weight of the car on a strip of metal a few millimetres wide.
Hammer it straight again if you can and then fabricate something for the top of your trolley jack to stop it happening again.

Trolley jack and a big block of timber under the box sections on the floor works perfectly.

The sill jacking points are for use with the factory supplied jack ONLY!

even using the factory jack on the proper jacking points still isn't secure enough as I found out on the moonstone, peugeot should have made better jacking points

I don't get it.
I've been using trolley jack on the jacking points for years and not even so much as a click heard ever.
What surface was this on? Tarmac? drive?

sub frame where the wishbone bolt is and rear beam mounting bolt work perfectly well for me but have to go up some home made ramps for the front first as its too low for the jack to get under
