tailgate wont open 
sooo how do i fix it?
only bought the car on sunday, the guy advised me of the issue, knowing how the french are with electrics i doubt this is the 1st 1 its happend to.

Drop the back seat, reach through and pull the plastic cover off the inside of the tailgate. Pull the rod manually which will open the tailgate. Then you can work comfortably looking for the fault.
Could be central locking issue or the mechanism itself. Impossible to diagnose from

sorry macca. yeh i spose icould have given you more info. basicly when you pull the handle nothing happens. i thought they were electrical hence what i posted, i got into the boot but couldnt get the plastic cover off to release the boot.. i think my best bet would be to undo the 2 torq bitson the catch then remove the cover..
Any one got more infomation to give me??
