Hi guys, i have a 206 LX with electric mirrors.

I bought a pair of gti mirrors from ebay, came to fit them yesterday and the drivers connector plug is totally different, on the gti mirror its black and on mine its white.

The passenger gti mirror connector was white and connected fine and works, the drivers gti mirror and mine both have blue, green, red and two brown wires.

Is there anyway to change the connectors.

Cheers.

Yep sure is! Snip the old connection block, or you could hard wire them..

for the drivers side the colours are :
red
green
blue
Are all for movement..

Brown x2 is the heated part in the mirror.

Snip the old connection block, do i cut the connector of both and join my old connector block to the new mirror wiring.

How would i go about hard wiring them in, not really done anything like this before.

basically there are 2 types of mirrors, ones with 3x3 (white) and 4x2(black).
From a guess, the person that sold them to you, must have replaced the drivers mirror or passenger mirror in the past, which is why they are different blocks.

You can either snip both connection blocks off and hard wire them..
or
cut the old connection block off your old mirror and swap it with the new mirror so thats its a direct fit, if you do this, you need to make sure the right cables are linked together. as other wise when you come to adjust it, the mirror may go in a different way than its supposed too.
or
Resell the mirror and buy a gti mirror with a white block... Smile

thats what you would think! Unfortunately peugeot dont have that logic!
So some may be the same colour some may not! Dont take it as a guranatee!, but tbh all you need to do is connect three wires up! the brown ones dont really do anything anyway, they are supposedly for heated mirror, but i can say i have had heated and non heated and never ever seen a difference!!!
