I have had to replace my peugeot 206 LX 1.4 speedo with another one which had the same mileage. the problem is is that the fuel light comes on before it reached the orange low fuel markers at the bottom of the gauge. whats wrong with it? when comparing where the needle reaches on the old one t was slightly lower than the new one?
any help would be great thanks
Lee

At that time, how much fuel do you estimate there still is in the tank? Is the light or the needle correct?
Where does it point if you brim it? If above the Full mark, then it could be that the needle is simply sitting incorrectly on the axle - probably after someone had to do surgery on the cluster...

not sure about brimming it, i checked it against the original and it sits slightly higher tried slighty adjusting the needle but it seems to bounce back to the same position and seems fine. the light did tend to come on before the orange markers on the old one though :S

It needs the software in the BSI updating. Fuel light is accurate, you'll have a gallon or there abouts left.
