So I have finally managed to install PP2000 after a lot of hassle. As I explained before the wont start. None of the BSI functions (trip computer, cd player, alarm, remote locking and wipers) are working. When I plug it all PP cannot find my ECU. I really need to get it started so any help would be appreciated. Fuses checked by AA but if anyone could tell me the location of the fuses that would be very helpful as I would like to double check

Is this a GTi? What year?

Have you checked all MF type (big) fuses possibly in the undertray of the engine compartment fusebox? Use multimeter for checking fuses.

Check all connectors on the BSI and ECU are in properly, and also check the big round cabin-to-engine bay connector under the left wheel arch plastic cover. That one get's soiled sometimes due to it's location.

Isn't your ecu separate from the bsi? Have you selected the correct ecu, I didn't have the right One selected originally. Does pp see your car at all?

No it couldn't tell me the VIN or anything. ECU came up as 10??? I have the car starting now but still not visible to PP. Checked fuses that AA had checked and what do you know, one is clearly blown.

You have to put the vin in yourself, and then I had to select my ECU type. What fuse was it? Until you select the right car in PP I don't think you'll be able to do anything.

BSI should tell Planet your VIN ona 2004 mux (multiplexed) 206.
Is the car up and running then now?
Have you solved the problem by finding the blown fuse?

Your PP2000 might not be working properly.
Did you do a 'Global Test'? What does it say?
Which version are you running? Has it updated the firmware in the interface?

And for the third time: Have you checked all ECU/BSI connectors are firmly in-place? Rolling Eyes
