Right guys,
I have a 1.4 automatic 206
My cambelt recently went as some of you know, took out all my valves -.-!
I have got my garage to replace my engine only to find out my gearbox had gone as well... anyway I have had a brand new auto gearbox fitted,
Once I got it back i've noticed so many problems, my car keeps going into limp mode around 10 miles into the journey and the engine stop light keeps coming on...
interesting thing is if I pull over and turn the engine off and on again it works like a treat again... then after another 5-10 ish miles same thing happens?!
Really cba throwing any more money at the garage/gearbox specialist to try and find the problem.
Is this ecu related rubbish?
More info, no ecu faults are coming on dash..
Please give me some help
James

u sure it's got oil filled in,and the Oil wear counter were written since you replaced it,so the the gearbox ecu knows that you have a new gearbox fitted.

well the only thing you can do is,got it hooked to PP2000,and drive for 10-15 miles, and when it happen, see the reading of the fault codes, and check the EvS Solenoid Valaves in the gearbox, might have some of them don't open at 3rd or 4th gear.

SOLVED
Hi all, went to peugeot dealership today and the chap came out with me and connected my ecu to his laptop, (got the idea from Timon )
Found out my gearbox selector on top of the gearbox was slipping out while in drive, slipping into third and then second, Sending my car into limp mode as it doesn't like that at 70 mph
took it back to my garage and they tightened the tension on it? I think that's the terminology anyway.. sorted it within 5 mins... now drives a treat..
hope this helps anyone in the future.
