Hi everyone, This is somewhat minor compared to other issues listed but this is really getting on my tits!

Now that the sun is out & i do a lot of town driving my front windows are down. However, I have noticed that they seem to rattle around like there's a lose spanner in the door! Both windows in both doors are doing it but the drivers is worse.

Over the last week or so i cured it by not having the windows all the way down maybe just 3/4 but now its doing it at that height. Wondered if anyone else may have had a similar issue?

Is this just as simple as removing the door card & tightening a few torx screws or bolts on the mechanism that holds the glass while its inside the door?

any help would be very much appreciated!

take doorcard off and see what is going on!
They shouldn't rattle period! The mechanism is held in with rivets, check they havnt been replaced with bolts! Also the window is held in with plastic clips, check they havnt broken!, cant imagine that being the issue as the window would just fall down then!
also check the rubber seals on the inside of the door once you have removed the doorcard!

iainlovatt,

Its odd the glass itself seems to be held firmly in place its only when I go over a bump or close the door that something is clealy rattling, sounds like its coming from the middle/bottom of the door.

I'll make the most of this weather & strip the doors down. Yeah im hoping its not the rivets as i wouldnt know how to re-rivet or fix them.

Made sure all the wiring is securely fixed to something? That can rattle, just a thought...
