Hi guys.

Took coil pack off last night to change plugs but my removal took didn't fit so not done them .

However, this morning I had barely enough power to get to 30mph without straining the engine and accelerator pedal seems very low.

Could it be that or have I not put the coil pack back on properly? Was running great before.

Its a 1.1, 2000 reg 206.

Any help and advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Steve.

Did you touch the throttle cable?
Is the tension set correctly?

I'd start with checking and rechecking the connections to the coil pack, and then look for any wires or pipes dangling that may have become dislodged.

Does the car sound like it's misfiring at all?

Make sure the coilpack is seated properly and that all the electrode springs (in each 'pipe') are touching the plugs and are clean from dirt/debris.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Turned out to be a clip on the throttle cable lol

I didn't think it was too serious because it wasn't lumpy on idle but thought I would ask anyway.

Cheers again,

Steve.

Very pleased it was a simple fix but I would like to know how you notice a 1.1 low on power. It doesn't have any to start with!

Lol

Not much power at all, especially as I got rid of a 328i SE to save money.

But, I love the Pug, so much fun to drive.

Guess it was only down on power due to the throttle basically not working. I could barely move and it took ages to get to even 30mph, so I well noticed the difference lol
