Hi
I have recently had my cooling fan wiring repaired and upon checking to confirm that it is fixed by switching on the air con to see if the low speed fan will kick in without letting it warm up. It doesn't kick in. I know the air con probably needs re-gassed, but have read that it should still kick in? Is this correct? The green light comes on when I press the button. But that is all.

I didn't even know there was a low speed fan or that it was supposed to come on with the AC.

If the AC isn't working the cooling fan won't be activated.

The multiplug is at the bottom of the radiator, and connects to the resistor.
Need to take the bumper off, as its very awkward to get to.

if its that part then it has been checked when the resistor was changed. There is no corrosion of the wires there

I would make sure the high speed mode works, the garage should have tested both speeds by switching them on with PP2000 before giving back to the customer (that would be you).

I would just check and make sure he hasn't just cut the plug off, and joined the wires together.
Thats the case with mine at the moment.
My fan wasn't working, so the electrician just made the high speed fan work.
My job pretty soon, take bumper off, fit a new resister, and put the plug back on.
Did it this way to keep costs down.
