Hey guys,

Sorry for the stupid question, but what can you actually do with PP2000? Is it just diagnostics? Or can you change stuff, and what can you change? I'm thinking about downloading it and buying the leads etc if it's gonna be worth it?

It's the dealer spec software. It's better than the normal code readers as you can get more detail on a fault. It also allows you to get the faults that normal readers don't like airbags. You can pair keys and immo chips with it.
You can change settings in the BSI to activate/deactivate some of the locked functions like rear wiper coming on when you select reverse and auto lock (dependant on if the software is in the BSI). Only thing you can't really do is software updates. You need to be connected to Peugeot servers for that and the cloned set up doesn't like it. You should also be wary of changing any BSI settings with cloned software as you could get irreparable issues.

Nice explanation man! Would you say its worth me getting? I'm an IT engineer so doubt I'd have any bother with the software itself, but could I be putting my car at much risk by changing basic stuff or just looking around?

Potentially - might be worth speaking with someone that has used it before, get an idea how to use it.

I'll try find someone that has used it before, either that or I'll get a mechanic mate to have a look over it before I start doing anything haha!

I've been to a few in the past that have messed up their car because they started changing settings when they didn't know what they were doing or meant.

The most expensive repair was just under £900 on a 1.6 HDi, the guy messed up the BSI, erased the coding on the engine ECU some how and also reset the configurations on the airbag and DPF ECU.
