As above. I have been quoted £262 to supply fit and regass

Can someone please get me the part number from service box?

I will PM you my VIN.

I want to see if I can reduce the bill by buying and fitting it myself as the gas system is currently empty. Ten I just have to pay to have it tested and regassed.

Thanks

How did they know which part is at fault? Reason I ask is mine have never worked, tried to get it regassed on Thursday and hey told me they had to stop due to a massive leak. Have you had it uv tested?

How do you know it's leaking? I would suspect pipes first.

Or the seals that connects from the pipes to the condenser.

Because it has been to an aircon specialist and pressure tested. I was asked to go into the garage and they showed me with the uv light the 4 leaks down the right hand seam of the condenser.
