Hi guys,
I went to view a 206 D Turbo yesterday, which is great, however there is some cosmetic damage on it. Specifically, I think someone has jumped on the roof and made it concave, so the previous owner has malleted it out from the inside. This has left dents around the roof, about 6 in total.
Any idea how much this would cost to rectify? The paint looks to be in fine shape.
Also, the boot wasn't quite closed, as if was about 1cm from being properly closed - could it possibly be the boot latch that needs adjusting? How easy is this to do?

Could try getting a PDR specialist out to remove them. Either that or a skim of filler and paint, or fit a replacement roof skin.

Possible, but not worth it on any 206 these days

Like the idea of PDR - had a quote for £125 off a mate, which isn't too bad imo.
How would I adjust the boot latch?

Cheers Chris - will that help the boot to be closed a bit more, (i.e. flush with the rear wings)?

should do , double check the rubber seal around the boot to make sure that is all seated properly

From experience, a damaged roof will never repair properly. The size of the panel makes it almost impossible to do PDR, and if you fill it there is a good chance of the filler cracking because of the amount of flex. Even if it is repaired, it will get on your nerves every time you wash the car and you feel the roof panel moving.
I would also be asking why the tailgate is 1cm out. Has the structure been damaged and hinges moved by someone jumping on the roof? Highly unlikely that this kind of damage could be caused by body weight, more likely from having the weight of a car led on it.
A car to avoid in my book.
