hi all im new and in need of help,
i have just fitted new front to rear brake pipes on a 2.0 hdi 2001 "y reg" 206,
all went well, took it for a retest and was fine on the way there but on leaving the test station the mil light was on and was in 'limp' mode, it cut out twice on the way home but would restart after about 30 seconds.

i have tried bleeding fuel system with no joy.

i tried my code reader (elm 327 using proscan) but its not OBD2 so i got a SEALEY VS8800 EOBD/OBD2 code reader but it still will not connect Evil or Very Mad
(the protocols it will scan are VPW, PWM, CAN, KWP 2000 and ISO9141)
i was told that it should work on the 206 Confused

i have checked the plug to the fuel pump its as it should be

when the key is turned you can hear the pump working, but when it cuts out the pump will not work unless it is turned off for about 30 seconds

i am at a total loss please help

Y reg diesel 206 ISN'T EOBD compatible.

You will need Peugeot Planet or something decent to scan it with.

Toyota C-HR GR Sport 2.0 Hybrid with JBL & Alcantara packs.

Check the fuel pump fuse. Mine had corroded on my HDi.

What has the brake pipe change got to do with the fuel tank though? You haven't mentioned that?

the front to rear brake pipes run "over" the4 fuel tank, so to fit new pipes the tank has to come off.
i will check the fuse when it gets light
