Hi,

My 2002 1.4 HDI seems to be having some problems with the throttle pedal. This was already replaced 3 years ago. I have a problem with a lack of power and also engine not is obeying immediately when I release pedal. There is a delay of about 3 seconds when I let loose of the pedal. Anyone else had a similar problem?

My second query is regarding a diagnostics scanner for this model. Do the Peugeot Planet 2000 available on e-bay work or are they fakes?

Thanks,

Klaus

Its very rare for a genuine Peugeot Planet interface to show up on Ebay, I've only seen 2 so far this year.

As for the Ebay Planet interfaces, some are a lot better quality then others.

If it had just been lack of power I would have suggested the catalytic converter .. mine collapsed inside and the core blocked the exhaust.

I downloaded the PP2000 software from another peugeot forum and purchase the interface through aliexpress ... seems to work fine but don't let it update from the internet or it gets screwed and has to be re-installed.

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Throttle and power problems disappeared again without any intervention and diagnostics light also went of. Hope it will remain like that.

Will a universal diagnostic scanner like the one in the website below work with a 2002 1.4HDI 206 Peugeot?

No guarantee.

ODB-II might work, but that is actually a US standard.

European diesel cars didn't standardise until 2004 (EODB). Prior to that manufacturers used what every they wanted and often customised it.
