good to see you haven't got rid mate, thought you'd quit or something lol

Lol tbf, I haven't been on the scene for like 7 months and could easily have stayed off but I need new tyres and by the time I've got decent ones I may as well spend 200 or so more and get some mint performance alloys from UZ & tyres my alloys are curbed to fck aswell so I'd like a clean slate haha. -The ex killed my alloys.

I would rather have something like a Cooper S atm or Corsa VXR but the cars worth peanuts even if it's mint(ish) (small crack in rear bumper) with low miles for the year and couldn't get better for the money. It's just hit 56k so it's starting to get to mileage where the price will further diminish lol.

I know what you mean mate, it's like a ghost town on here now, was at fcs with info and there were only 9 cars on the stand lol

That sucks about the wheels bud but least your getting a really nice set of wheels, I certainly wouldn't mind the 1.2's but in 17".

I agree ref the corsa vxr etc as i too am fond this car but like you said our cars can be picked up for under 2k now, even with low milage Crying or Very sad

Yeah I think I'm sort of past forums nowdays, I am 26 though!

I can't believe only 9 cars turned up! but the change of track and the fact FCS is pretty boring every year doesn't help, I'll never bother again I don't think.

It does suck about my wheels but what can you do eh lol! they started bubbling and the paint started cracking last year in places anyway so need a refurb anyways. I might just sell them on.

I had 17" Team d's in white on my first 180 and I've always gone for pro race 1.2's but I definitely fancy smaller for this one apparently 16's will improve ride quality obviously be lighter aswell.

Prices on 180's have always been s**t hell my old 180 was part x'd back in 05 for £3850 on an 04 with 40k I paid just over 9k from memory a year earlier. I know part x is stealership prices and all that but dammmn !

Fuel efficiency and insurance groups killed the car imo.

Yeah I loved your old 180 with the white td's on, i'd probably get white td's for mine if I hadn't gone down the dark side with mine, already looking at changing the headlights to morettes because of the misting up in my masked headlights

I only paid £1800 for mine last oct for an 05 plate with 69k, so serious saving for a vxr lol

I think anthracite OZ superleggs would look nice on yours or even Team d's Smile

Morettes are cool I'm toying with buying some extra cases and getting them CF dipped after seing your dip pics, I would defo recommend buying decent bulbs for them though! Misting is annoying, you really have to over apply sealant and then clean the excess after its set really well to avoid it looking tacky. I remember my old Fiesta ZS I split those and had to redo them lol!

Yeah that's a good price they are a lot of car for the money!

I was a late bloomer lol like you I turned to the 206 from a saxo vts

I agree the 1.2's and oz wheels would look nice, am tempted to get the 1.2's on finance due to not affording a set out right. The garage that did mine put loads of adhesive on which has stopped them from sitting properly with the wing, it's difficult because I am tempted to buy another set and have painted but without the excessive adhesive

So on Saturday I went and met UZ and collected these bad boys, he was slightly shocked by how dirty my car was lol especially turning up to his and it was sunny! poxy rain lol!

Anyway! Iphone pics alert but here they are... centre caps aren't my cup of tea being carbon wrapped, so I'll be removing the wrap but bar that they're as sweet as Smile

Unfortunately we couldn't fit them because my stock pug locker broke. Got to get them drilled out tried numerous ways of getting them off but nothing worked. I literally would have got them drilled from the moment the key didn't work really haven't a clue on that sort of stuff and usually I'm relatively impatient when it comes to having to wait to have stuff fitted if I can't do it myself lol.

So here they are sitting in my front room, I cleaned them and sealed them with Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid.

Had to strip the rear to pick them up! might keep it like that for a while. Pops and bangs are far louder and the car seems a little quicker due to the shed weight.

Stock 180 alloys with tyres are 17kg per corner iirc
Team d's are 6.9 + tyres = approx 15kg

So saved around 1.2 stone in weight.

Pics to come when fitted hopefully SLR pics.

i superglued the key to the bolt and hey presto out came the bolt.Only worked on one wheel but that was the only 1 stuck.Might be worth a try before you have them drilled?

Personally I liked the vortex's gave it the 180 look.

But I'm sure once its all done it will still look mint! Smile

I remember when I had the rear seats out of my old old one, sounded mint. But soon got annoying lol.

Oh yeah I remember that thread! I know how you feel though bar mine wasn't crashed just kids got hold of it and stripped anything that was worth bothering with i.e brembos, saxsport and simota wish I'd never sold it Sax-p is full of rot boxes now days only a few Saxo's that were (near the condition of mine left) that car was literally mint, never seen a Saxo at a show come close *without a respray and work done*. Bodywork mint, no rust, all bits done properly.

But I'm sure once its all done it will still look mint! Smile

I remember when I had the rear seats out of my old old one, sounded mint. But soon got annoying lol.

Thanks Luke don't get me wrong, I love the look of Vortex's but they're heavy and make the ride even crashier. Also I'm not about to go and get them refurbed so I may just keep them for the lols, not worth anything nowdays I sold my vts wheels for more than I've been offered lol.

Does sound mint without the seats they'll have to go back in soon anyways because I have no storage for them lol!
